SAFOSO is a Swiss consulting and capacity building company. It works with international organizations, governments, industries, private companies, consumer groups and academia in order to achieve the global goals of animal health, food safety and security for consumers, and sustainable trade of livestock and animal-derived food products. SAFOSO focuses on risks related to primary livestock production. Our scope of expertise covers, among others, surveillance system design, risk assessment, and disease and hazard management. SAFOSO also provides training and capacity building services in these areas. Specific in-house expertise is provided for specific hazards including: Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy (TSE), Classical and African Swine Fever, Rabies, Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD), Avian Influenza, Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), E. coli infections, Listeriosis, Newcastle Disease, Paratuberculosis, Salmonellosis, Trichinellosis, Tuberculosis, Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE), Bovine Virus Diarrhea (BVD) and Brucellosis.
